Tenor Kyle Bielfield is currently a Master of Music Candidate at The Juilliard School, and a graduate of New York University. He enjoys a varied career on the Operatic Stage and in Concert. A native of Miami, Florida, Kyle began his career in opera at a young age with the Florida Grand Opera in Die Zauberflote as the soprano spirit. Throughout his youth he continued to appear as a soloist, and earned a grammy nomination for a music video by age twelve. Mr. Bielfield has premiered several new works with various groups including Center City Opera's collaboration with American Opera Project, where he developed the role of Yale Freshman in Gregory Spears' Paul's Case. With American Lyric Theatre, he appeared in the first performance of The Golden Ticket at Lincoln Center. Additional Participation with ALT includes the development of various Operas and music including All Wounds Bleed and Cycle. Mr. Bielfield has also participated in a workshop of Car Crash Opera, in association with City Opera's Vox Opera Project. Other Opera Credits include Pluto in Orpheous in the Underworld; Le Theiere in L'enfant et les sortileges; The High Priest in Die Zauberflote, Brighella in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos (Tel Aviv, Israel), and in special collaboration with The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, as a the High Tenor Narrator in Prokofiev's The Love for three Oranges for a revival of the Opera, which debuted there in 1927. Various concert works for which Mr. Bielfield has received acclaim include Berlin's Jewish Works of Lewandowski with Beth Simchat Torah, and Shutz's Passion with Church of the Heavenly Rest, as the role of the Evangelist. Mr. Bielfield has been a soloist in Elliot Carter's The Defense of Corinth at Lincoln Center; Bloch's Avodath Hakodes at Hebrew Union College; Handel's My Love Shall Be Alway with the Unitarian Society of Brooklyn; Additionally he has performed Handel's Messiah throughout the East Coast of the United States.
